I'm afraid to un-install and re-install Dell Webcam Central software again, because Dell limits owners to only 3 installations. Skype and Dell Webcam Central cannot find a webcam. I turned on Skype today, and the same problem is happening. Don't know if that will help, but it worked for me.
As soon as I chose that, it started working. I tried changing the resolution in the properties to a custom resolution, and selected the 1280x720. Perfectly for about 1-2 weeks (both Dell Webcam Central worked and Skype webcam worked), but it has failed again. I went and downloaded the newest drivers, and that still didn't do it. I used Dell's Troubleshooter, which instructed me to un-install Dell Webcam Central and re-install it.
I reconfirmed there was a software failure by opening Dell Webcam Central which showed a message stating "No Supported Webcam." Skype>Tools>Options>Video settings, which states "Skype couldn't find a webcam."
